The intuitive interface and well-written documentation – and especially the step-by-step tutorials -- help get you up and running with your own data quickly and easily.

Powerful tools.

HyperRESEARCH gives you complete access and control, with keyword coding, mind-mapping tools, theory building and much more. From coding and retrieval to analysis and reporting, HyperRESEARCH puts you in charge.

No complications.

At Researchware, we believe studying our qualitative world should be straightforward, and we design our software accordingly. HyperRESEARCH supports your needs, instead of trying to squeeze you into someone else's pet methodology. Your software should make it easier to do your research, not harder. You have more important things to do than spend weeks learning a software package, so HyperRESEARCH offers a near-zero learning curve to help you get started.

For Mac and Windows.

You and your colleagues live in a cross-platform world, and so should your research tools. HyperRESEARCH delivers with full feature equality and easy integration and file transfer. Fully cross-platform by design, HyperRESEARCH is with you whether you use a Mac, a PC... or both!

At your desk or to go.

The same license lets you install HyperRESEARCH on every computer you use—Mac or Windows. If you often work elsewhere, carry HyperRESEARCH and your data in your pocket and sit down at any available computer, plug in your USB drive, and start working. At the office, at home, in the lab, or on the go, HyperRESEARCH is there for you.

HyperRESEARCH 4.5.0 Released

Researchware, Inc. released HyperRESEARCH 4.5.0 on Thursday, October 31, 2019. This release is a significant release in the HyperRESEARCH 4.x.x, series.

HyperRESEARCH is Researchware's Simply Powerful Tool for Qualitative Research. This release provides support for macOS Catalina and is the minimum required version to use HyperRESEARCH under Catalina.

Version 4.5.0 provides full international language support. All researcher entered content (names of cases and codes, annotations, etc.) can be in any language.

Version 4.5.0 removes all past dependency on Apple Computer's Quicktime for Windows for playing and coding digital audio or video media. Version 4.5.0 uses native Apple Video Foundation (AVF) under macOS and native Microsoft Directshow under Windows.

With nearly 100 stability enhancements and improvements, this release continues Researchware's commitment to quality products and customer service, while enhancing the customer experience through a variety of feature updates, improvements, and added benefits not available in prior versions.

For customers upgrading to HyperRESEARCH 4.5.0 from HyperRESEARCH version 3.0 through HyperRESEARCH version 3.7.5, a paid upgrade is required for a new license key.

For customers upgrading to HyperRESEARCH 4.5.0 from HyperRESEARCH version 4.0.0 through 4.0.3, version 4.5.0 is a free upgrade and your current version 4 series license key will work to unlock version 4.5.0.

Upgrading to the new version is easy:

  • Download & install HyperRESEARCH 4.5.0
  • Launch the software and:
    • Choose "Use Free Limited Edition" if you wish to "try before you buy," OR
    • Enter a valid HyperRESEARCH 4.x.x license key if you wish to lift the restrictions placed in Free Limited Edition mode.
  • Open your current study file (created in HyperRESEARCH version 4.x.x) or convert your older study files (created in version 3.x.x) and continue with your work. Please note: Due to changes in macOS Catalina, HYperRESEARCH 4.5.0 is unable to convert older HyperRESEARCH 3.0.0 to 3.7.5 study files (.hs2 files) on that specific version of macOS. If you are running Catalina and need to convert an older .hs2 study to version 4.5.0, please do so on an earlier version of macOS or a Windows computer.

HyperRESEARCH 4.5.0 uses an updated study file format for international language support (Unicode). Study files created in earlier versions of HyperRESEARCH can easily be converted to the new format by opening them within HyperRESEARCH 4.5.0. Researchware recommends using the Study Packager Tool in HyperRESEARCH version 3.7.5 or 4.0.x to package your study for ease of conversion to the new HyperRESEARCH 4.5.0 study file format.
